ParentCare Story

Hi, I am Bharat, the founder of ParentCare.

When my mother was diagnosed with Cancer in 2017, I could not travel (from London) to India to be there with her. What she needed was not only the medical treatment but also the time and emotional support from my father. Alas, it was not so easy.

The entire journey from identifying the right doctor and the treatment to home care while managing the house and professional work not only drained my parents but also took away the opportunity to spend time with each other.

At the sametime, sitting in London I did not fully know what was happening and I could not contribute as much as I wanted to. Though some professional help was available, it was still difficult to identify the right trustworthy services and manage them from outside India.

That was the starting point of ParentCare – to make it easier, transparent and quicker to provide for parents even from far away.

I believe this can inspire more NRIs to turn into long-distance care givers without it feeling like a burden while still protecting your family time and being able to emotionally support your parents.

ParentCare would be an one-stop platform for families to identify and book range of medical services for their parents based overseas while the ParentCare on-the-ground team ensures smooth delivery of these services, as per individual requirements.

I am happy to share the news that ParentCare has raised seed fund from UK based We Are Nova and Deepbridge Capital. We also have an Indian healthcare services company joining us as our operating partner on the ground.
